You have told the machine your mail server is called Linda. Most mail servers have names like mail.mvps.org or pop3.somedomain.com. Many ISPs have different names for servers that send mail to those that recieve. You can change it at Tools - Options - select Linda then Properties - Server and enter correct server (ring your ISP) here. "starbright"

You need to tell Windows Mail the name of your ISPs incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) servers. They should have provided documentation, or get them on the phone - to lead you through the process. Also see HELP & SUPPORT in Vista. In the search box, type CONFIGURE MAIL. |

You posted from rr.com. Please ask Road Runner (your cable ISP) what the incoming and outgoing mail server names should be. Gary VanderMolen "starbright"
