Some updates are optional, even from microsoft. That could be why the updater had displayed that message. Open up details about the updates and it will tell you the importance of an update. G "Antonio Amengual"

The IE 7 security update (KB931768) has caused issues (with Win Mail) for several - I had to uninstall it. The junk mail update seems fine

thanks, i know that feature, 2 main updates are important and recommended, if they were installed, update history wil tell about that install i believe that every new MS O.S. carry a lot of weird things and Vista can't be the exception to the rule perhaps the "cake" need more time inside the oven Saludos
