I'm trying to create email stationery using the vista home premium and windows mail. Every time I try using the new stationery wizard it automatically continues through each page and doesn't allow me to do anything! Is this a bug in the system as it didn't happen under xp

I'm having the SAME PROBLEM! And it's absolutely maddening! When I called Microsoft, they would not help without charging a fee (even though I've only had the product less than 30 days), and DELL (who I purchased my new computer from) was unable to help. The technicians at Dell simply did not know the software well enough to troubleshoot. This is terrible! "Andy T" wrote:

It looks to me that it may be a permissions issue on the directory where it is trying to save the file. Using Windows Explorer go to the message store directory (this can be found via Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Store folder). Under that directory there is a directory called Stationery. Right click on the Stationery directory and go to Properties | Security. Then click on the Edit button followed by the Add button. In the box type in Users and then click OK. Then set the permissions for Full Control. Then click OK and again OK to close the properties window. Then see if you can save the stationery. steve "Andy T"

Thanks for that Steve. I had a look and the permission is for full control already. The problem isn't saving stationery but using the wizard to make it. When you start the Wizard it just continues through the process without you being able to do anything (unless you have the speed of superman). With XP and 200 pro I never had this problem so I assume it must be a bug. Thanks for your help I appreciate it. "Steve Cochran" wrote:
