itunes won't download on Vista. I had it on XP and now i can't uninstall or install the program. The message i receive is "The Installer has insufficient priveleges to modify this file C:\Programfiles\itunes..........". Someone help me fidure this out, PLEASE !!!!

I installed it on vista but I had UAC disabled and I was administrator.. is your account an administrator? right click on the setup icon and select run as administrator.... "Shanny14"

Hi, I had a thought - why not try installing it with the User Account Control off. And when you have installed it, turn the UAC back on. Just an idea, but it may work,....Frank "Shanny14"

I had the same problem with iTunes/QuickTime and Roxio/Sonic. Before Vista will let you update/install a newer version of a program, all remnants of the program must be completely removed from your system. Since the Vista uninstall feature sometimes does a poor job at this, these remnants often have to be removed manually.
