I have a MS Natural Keyboard, it probably 5 or 6 years old, it use a PS2 port. I'm running XP Home Edition. It fits into an under desktop Pengo Computer Accessories molded tray. I would hate to have to change it. When I run the Vista compatibility utility it doesn't list the keyboard. I'm getting a new puter with Vista on it. I was wondering if anybody had one of the older Natural Keyboards on a Vista machine? If so, any problems? The MS site doesn't list my keyboard on their Vista compatible hardware list. Don

You will not be able to use it with the new computer. Not just because of Vista. There are no PS2 connectors on new computers and usb to ps2 converters will not work. I have a natural kb that's great and inexpensive: MS Natural KB 4000. Time to upgrade! "Don Pullem" wrote:

That's rather a broad statement. Both of my Vista machines have PS2 connectors and one has a natural keyboard attached to a PS2 connector and working well. I can't confirm that Don's will work as mine is only a year old and there have been quite a few models over the years. Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM fjsmjs.com

Don Do not buy any old PS/2 to USB connector.. get one that is specifically for a keyboard.. I think that they are maybe $15 from places like Tiger Direct.. "Don Pullem"

I also have a PS2 connected keyboard USB pass-thru to 2 USB plugs (old Internet Plus) and it works very well in Vista (both 64 and 86). Mine is at least 7 years old. "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM"

Sounds like I might luck out. The Velocity Micro computer I'm getting does have a PS2 connector, so that's not a problem. The main reason I don't want to replace it is the Pengo tray it fits in is made specifically for the model keyboard I have. The later model Natural Keyboards won't fit in the molded tray. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. Don "Mike Hall MVP"

Why would I be interested in new drivers when it works fine? I don't fix what ain't broke, especially when it comes to drivers. Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM fjsmjs.com

Maybe -some- ps2 to usb converters don't work (assume that's what you meant when you wrote usb to ps2 converters) but I'm using a Natural Keyboard here going through an 8 port KVM into a ps2 to usb converter into a Dell GX620 that doesn't have any ps2 ports and it's working fine. Lang "Mary"

Utter and Total CRAP. ALL new Dell tower computers come with PS2 ports to free up USBs for other peripherals "Mary" wrote:
