Hello, Having problems with playing a file back in Media Player. If I have saved a short video of myself to my hard drive and play it back, using Media Player, the voice matches up with the picture or lip movement very well. However, if I send that saved video of myself, over the Internet in an email as an attachment, when I check to see how well it looks from my "Sent" mail folder, when I open (download) the video, the audio lags way behind the lip movement in the beginning then finally catches up at the end of the half-minute video. Can anyone tell me if this can be fixed and what is causing this? Thank you very much. Jerry

Hi, I just played back the email video using Real Player and have the same problem with playing the email file using Real Player as I do with Media Player! Oh gosh, then there is something else wrong besides my players-but something with a video card or the power of my computer? It's a new Dell E 1705 with I GB RAM and a Duel processor (1.73 GHz) available physical memory of 300 MB, available virtual memory of 1.11 GB. Can someone please advise me on this? Thank you. For what file type? Does it work if you save the file to disk first? Does this file work correctly on a second computer in this fashion? Speaking for myself only. See zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. "Jerry Hughes"

Hi zachd, Thank you very much for addressing my problem. The file type is .wmv. I do save the file to disk first because I record the video using my Microsoft NX 6000 webcam, then rework it using Microsoft's Movie Maker. Then I send the video in an email. But it's not just my videos that will not sync the voice properly. I mean, the other day a family member sent me a video and their voice and video was not synced up eiher. I've tried opening the file I saved and sent in an email, through my Sent Folder, and if I save it to disk from the email, then open it, the voice and video are in sync. But when I tried that with my family members video, the voice and video were still out of sync. Lost for reason. Jerry "zachd [MSFT]" wrote:

Does it work properly on a mate's computer? That is, are the files themselves corrupt/badly made, or is this an artifact of a problem on your system? Trying this on a second computer should answer that question. =\ Speaking for myself only. See zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. Hi zachd, Well, after I send them in an email, those receiving them say they are okay. But they may not look as closely as I do because I am the author. I'll try to send them to another computer and see. Thanks for the info. Jerry "zachd [MSFT]" wrote:
