I'd swear I saw the instruction 'defragment this drive' somewhere navigating around in Vista, but I've lost the bubble. I think it was a right click action? Otherwise, from the 'Performance Information and Tools' module,Vista wants to defragment all drives, and I don't want that. Thanks for your help, IM

for a Drive in My Computer - Right click then Properties - System Tools - Defragment "Imageman"

Run a command prompt as administrator. Type in defrag /? You will be presented with a help list that explains how to do what you want. If after you type the correct syntax, and find it works to your satisfaction, you can create a desktop shortcut (using the same syntax) that will do the same thing.
