nVidia driver problem i think. I'm not sure if they have fixed this, but a lot of 8800 owners have been getting that. Try updating your graphics drivers.

Got the same problem. I'm running a 8600GTS with the newest drivers. There are several other posts about the same problem. Seems to be all nvidia cards. It's a fairly fun game if they'll get it woking right.

no problems with 7900gs SLI
mind you how shonky is this OS if it cant make this simple game run? I'm regretting the purchase.

Yup, I had that problem. 100% the fault of the video drivers. In my case anyway. An update from Nvidia solved the problem. 8800GTX. However, that was a couple months ago. They fixed the problem a while back.
