Using Windows Mail- Once a message is selected, the Flag Message command is available through the pop-up menu. Yet, I cannot find the way to add the Flag icon to the toobar. This could be added in Outlook and extremely useful to those using the Flag Message feature. Does anyone know how this can be added (Note: the icon is unlisted in the Add/Remove icons list on the Toolbar tailoring dialog).

It never was there :-) You have to right click on the headers of the columns - subject, from, sent etc>columns>select flag>and move to the left using Up or Down.

Mac, Thanks for replying- You missed my point- I have the Flag column header on the title of the grid (so I view it and sort according to it). What I don;t have is to include the Flag Message button to the bar which contains the Reply/Forward/Reply All/Print and those commands. In Outlook you could add the Flag Message COMMAND to that bar- can I do the same in Windows Mail ? Hope this clarifies "mac" wrote:

OK sorry about that. No it does not exist in WM and it did not exist in Outlook Express, its forerunner. Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS]

Can't you just click in the Flag column next to the message to flag it? " mac"

There you go, Thank, this works and quite intuitive. Hope though not to click unintentionally. Still- I dislike the inconsistency between commands on the pop-up menu and the toolbar. They should have been consistent between the two, Thanks again Cal "Cal Bear '66" wrote:

You're welcome. I moved my Flag column to the right of the Subject column to avoid accidently clicking it since I was unintentionally clicking it all the time and now I never click it by accident and it seems to stand out more in this position in the middle of the pane. "Hezi"

I don't know what you mean by "pop-up menu", but I can flag a message by clicking on Message > Flag Message. Strangely enough, that option doesn't appear when right-clicking on a message (context menu). I never use that feature because in newsgroups "Watch Conversation" seems more useful.
