I turned onmy computer- set a password tolock my 'puter...and have forgotten the password....how do I fix this I can't get past the first screen???

If you locked your computer... your password should be the same as the one that goes with your username when you log on. "tclarkms" wrote:

After re-reading your thread here's what you do Reboot your computer.. Get into safe-mode Log in as the default 'Administrator' and go to: Start > Run (if enabled in Start Menu properties, otherwise go to Start > All Programs > Accesories > Run)) type 'control userpasswords2' (without the quotes) In the box that pops up click 'Continue' Select your account (single click only), hit 'Reset Password' and type your new password, and again to confirm.
