When I open any video file with Vista media player they run fine as long as they are in a small window. If I maximize the window in full screen or even if I rey to make tyhe window significantly larger, the video starts freezing and showing a frame-by-frame view and only the sound goes on normally. This never happened on XP.

Since sound is fine the problem is probably with the graphics card and its drivers. Answers to the following questions will help to isolate the cause. What make/model of graphics card do you have? What resolution are you using over what interface to what type of display? What graphics card driver release are you using? Have you read the release notes for the driver release you are using? "Andreas"

I have the same problem but with Geforce Go 6600. I?ve tryed all recently published drivers (official and moded ones). No I run official Toshiba 98.13whql, 1400x1050 native lcd resolution. I can?t find any type of considerations regarding this issue in driver realese notes. From some internet research I found that this problem is not restricted no any sort of systems, graphic cards or configurations, so it ends up being some kind of "WMP11 over Windows Vista" bug. Try the driver from ATI (Version 7.2 is the latest, and last, driver from ATI for Mobility Radeon), found here: ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32/previous/common/common-cat72-vista32.html "Andreas"
