Hi all, I had before Win XP Media Center Edition and recently I've upgraded it to Vista Home edition. I'd like to go back to the old XP , but I cannot erase the primary partition. It appears there is a sort of protection and Partition Manager or Acronis cannot work. I'd like to erase completely the hard drive. Any suggestion ? Thx Marco

Have you updated Acronis DD to build 2160? That's the only version which is Vista aware, and it's a free download from their website. Otherwise, if you have the Vista install DVD you should be able to boot that and use its built-in partitioning ability. |

Hi Marco, Boot with the WinXP disk, start setup. At the point where you choose the installation location, instead delete the existing one. Create a new one in the free space, format and proceed with setup.
