My IPAQ hx2495 works fine when used with my old XP laptop. My new HP laptop that came preloaded with Vista Home Premium fails to install the windows mobile device drivers for the IPAQ. WMP can see the IPAQ and I can access the files on both the device and the storage card. Looking at the error on the driver install for the mobile device all it says is unable to open device. I have installed the latest WMDC and any other Vista updates. I have the current firmware installed on my IPAQ as well. Is anyone else out there having this same issue? Is this something Microsoft is working on? HP says it is a Microsoft issue and Microsoft says it is an HP issue due to the OEM OS. Can someone help me , please??
