Contacts not showing on Select Recipients

I have just imported all my contacts from Outlook Express 7 to windows mail, all my contacts are showing in the contacts file. When creating a new message and adding a contact from the select recipient window only some of my contacts are showing. Any idea how to display complete contacts file in select recipient window? Even if I create a new contact in the contact file it is not displayed in the select recipient window !!!
