hi, firsy of all i am not that knowledgeable with computers. i just bought a lab top w/ vista and 2007 software. i was trying to set up my email with windows email and after i thought i completed everything i keep getting this message:
The host 'aol' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'hi', Account: 'aol', Server: 'aol', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.
can anyone please help me.

Answered in your previous post: As the error message indicates, the host name "aol" is wrong. The name of the outgoing (SMTP) mail server is smtp.aol.com, and its port number is 587, not 25. For more info, see members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/imap/
To make the corrections, go to Tools, Accounts, double-click on the "aol" account, go to the Servers tab, make corrections there, then go to the Advanced tab to make port number corrections.
