Hi there,
I've just bought a new laptop with Vista. I want to view a CD (I'm not sure if its a CD or dvd) with some X-Ray, CT and MRI images of an operation I have just had. When I insert the CD I get a box appearing (called "Autoplay") asking whether I want to instal or run the programme cdviewer (which I do). When I click on this I get the message: "You need Microsoft Data Access Components to view the CD-ROM. You do not have administrative rights to perform the instalation... etc" I am the administrator on the PC and loging out and back in doesnt help. As there is no programe icon I cannot right click and choose "Run as administrator" as has been suggested on other threads. Right clicking at any point during the above process doesnt help either. I hope someone can help as I'd really like to see all of the new screws in my leg!!! Thanks |

right click on cdviever.exe (file in folder BIN) ; the second bookmark is called "accordance" or similar ( I have polish version of vista, don't know english names of options, sorry) and math the option "start program in mode compatibility with Windows 98/Me, and also put checkmark at the bottom in option "start programm as administrator" i had the same problem and this helped me.
