I Bought a new computer having Vista Home on it. The problem Im having is that the sound for music sounds BAD! When I play a DVD on it, the chareters voices are real low however the music in the back ground is loud. Can someone help??

That sounds like there's a Karaoke setting that's been turned on in your soudn card properties... Or it's set to a multi-channel output (assuming center channel) that's not appropriate for your speaker configuration. Speaking for myself only. See zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
