This isn't really an answer to your question, but as an aside, I saw that Mbox 2 is not compatible with Vista as well. I returned it to the store and got a Presonus FireBox instead. It works very well with Vistaand it's a LOT cheaper. The audio quality is amazing, and the free Cubase software works quite well. I'm very happy with the solution, and I saved a bunch of money in the process. :-).

In my (somewhat limited) experience, the Firebox is excellent. You can use ProTools or any other software with it, but it comes with Cubase, and I've been using that to record my band's practice sessions for the past couple of weeks. Personally, I recommend it. "MC"
